Progressing into major jazz levels

Progressing through major levels of jazz provides invaluable self-discipline and skills to use in any area of life. Jazz Senior is for students Years 8-13. 

Jazz Senior Foundation

• 1x Jazz Senior Foundation (NZAMD G5) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

Jazz Senior 1

• 1x Jazz Senior 1 (NZAMD Pre Elementary) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

Jazz Senior 2

• 1x Jazz Senior 2 (NZAMD Elementary) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

Jazz Senior 3

• 1x Jazz Senior 3 (NZAMD Intermediate) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Jazz Technique, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

Jazz Senior 4

• 1x Jazz Senior 4 (NZAMD Advanced 1) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Jazz Technique, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

Jazz Senior 5

• 1x Jazz Senior 5 (NZAMD Advanced 2) class – 1 hour
• 1x either Open Jazz, Jazz Technique, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet or Dance Conditioning class

What is Open Jazz and Jazz Technique?

Jazz Technique Senior 3-5

A focussed technique class for experienced dancers, building strength, flexibility and control. Includes safe progressions for turns, leaps and tricks. Perfect for dancers looking to take their technique to the next level. This class supplements dancers’ Jazz syllabus class and is ideal for students working towards Jazz exams.  

Jazz Open

Open class means that we don’t work on a set curriculum or towards examinations. Open classes cover different content each week, usually mini-dances (combos or sets). We offer Senior Open Jazz, Contemporary & Hip Hop classes. 

Class Times and Days 2026

Uniform

Dance schools all around the world wear a dance uniform, to help students and teachers alike get the most out of class.  Long hair should be in a ballet bun for ballet or tied back neatly for class.

For your first class, don’t worry if you don’t have the uniform yet, just wear something comfortable to move in, and bare feet.  Upon enrolment we will send you all the information you need about dance uniform, hair etc.

Tuition

Class Tuition:  $198 per term — based on an 8-week term

Note:  Tuition is pro-rated by term length.  In 2026, one additional week of tuition will be added to 9-week terms (Terms 2 & 3).

Registration Fee:
  $25 per new student (one-off).
