Dance Conditioning

Dance conditioning classes are for ballet, jazz, contemporary dancers who want to work on alignment and control to improve their dance technique. These classes are set to pop music and incorporate dance Pilates exercises, Progressing Ballet Technique swiss ball exercises, balance work, technique “progressions” en diagonale, flexibility work and even meditation to music.

Taught by dance physiotherapist Sophie Ryan, there is a focus on biomechanics and alignment as well as better understanding how the dancer’s body works. Dance conditioning is a one-hour class.

Dance schools all around the world wear a dance uniform, to help students and teachers alike get the most out of class. Long hair should be in a ballet bun for ballet or tied back neatly for class.

For your first class, don’t worry if you don’t have the uniform yet, just wear something comfortable to move in, and bare feet.  Upon enrolment we will send you all the information you need about dance uniform, hair etc.
