Jazz for 6-7 year olds

Jazz dancing is entertaining to watch, fun and active to participate in. Jazz features a combination of unique moves, intricate footwork, leaps and quick turns.  Students work towards an optional jazz medal test or exam and an end-of-year performance.

Our age levels are designed to fit with NZ school year age groups. Students in Year 2 (turning 6 before Term 3 as a general rule) are in the Jazz Junior 2 level. This is a 30 minute class.

Class Times and Days 2026

Uniform

Upon enrolment we will send you all the information you need about dance uniform, hair etc.  For your first class, don’t worry if you don’t have the uniform yet, just wear something comfortable to move in, and bare feet.

• Lavender short-sleeved leotard

Option 2

• Black t-shirt

Tuition

Class Tuition:
$148 per term — based on an 8-week term

Note:  Tuition is pro-rated by term length.  In 2026, one additional week of tuition will be added to 9-week terms (Terms 2 & 3).

Registration Fee:
$25 per new student (one-off).

• Multi-class rate (2+ weekly classes): $144 per class per term
