Show 2025
Nutcracker Sweets – 2025 End of Year Show
Our next theatre performance will be Nutcracker Sweets, held at the Victoria University Memorial Theatre on Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December 2025.
Every concert is full of ‘firsts’ – a first time on stage, in costume, or dancing a special role. For others, it’s a chance to celebrate years of dedication. Most of all, it’s a joyful celebration of the hard work of our students and families, and an opportunity for WDA dancers in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro and hip hop to shine and share their art with the community.

Our shows take place at the Victoria University Memorial Theatre on Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 December 2025. Every class performs, and we make sure each group’s theatre time is suitable for their age and stage – from short, magical Little Shows for our youngest dancers through to full evening productions for our seniors.

Teams & Solos
Wellington Dance & Performing Arts Academy offers age-appropriate performance opportunities for all students. As students progress through the ballet and jazz grades, this can include learning group or solo routines for dance competitions.
Here are the steps for those interested:
- Talk with your teacher or Suzanne and let them know you are interested.
- If we think it is the right time and fit for you, we will recommend you audition for a team or crew.
- From these, we select soloists.
We have a closed facebook group for WDA families who are involved with teams or solos. Information about upcoming competitions, entry forms etc will be posted there.
